UN SDG Global Development Challenge
An immersive experience that uses simulation role-play and gamification to bring a real global development challenge into the classroom.
This is based on a real social enterprise in India that has been supported by the United Nations Development Programme and is addressing 14/17 UN SDGs.
Delve into a new world, build empathy and learn about the UN SDGs and systems thinking.
Develop your skills in trade-off analysis, financial strategy and broaden your measures of success.
How it works
In the experience you will:
First, build empathy by playing the role of a stakeholder in India’s urban waste management system, where you will either work in a team or as an individual to meet your livelihood needs by engaging in competitive game activities.
Second, solve the problem by building a financially sustainable business model working in teams, where you will be challenged to adapt your model throughout, mirroring unforeseen circumstances that occur in real life.
